Jesse Brown is a lifelong resident of Southeastern Massachusetts and has lived in Plymouth for over twenty years. Upon graduating high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps at 17 years old and worked in Field Communications. Jesse learned very early on in the Marine Corps that integrity, commitment, loyalty, and good judgement are critical traits for success.
After being honorably discharged as a Marine Corps Sergeant, Brown settled in Plymouth and climbed his way up in the wireless construction industry – first as a technician building cell towers, next as project manager overseeing projects across New England, and eventually founding Heidrea Communications in 2007 – a wireless construction firm.
Heidrea Communications has been recognized as a leader in Massachusetts. In 2013 Heidrea was awarded the Massachusetts Small Business Administration’s Veteran’s Small Business of the Year and in 2017 they were awarded Veteran Owned NADCO Diamond Award.
In 2013, Brown co-founded Heidrea for Heroes - a nonprofit organization that provides vital services to veterans in need. When Jesse finished his enlistment from the Marine Corps, the transition to civilian life was difficult, and his experience inspired him to help alleviate burdens veterans face. Heidrea for Heroes mission is to provide adaptive renovations, qualified home repairs, mobility equipment, veteran and family support, and workforce readiness that will make a positive difference in the lives of veterans and their families.
Brown has served on boards and commissions committed to economic growth and job opportunities. He is a member of the Massachusetts Labor and Workforce Development Board, and he is an active member on the Executive Board of the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce where he also serves as chair of the Chamber’s Veteran Committee.
If elected State Senator, Brown will truly serve the people by working to lower taxes on working families and small businesses, increase housing opportunities, and promote smart economic development. Brown will focus on delivering the resources and exemptions Town governments need to improve our great schools, safe communities, and state of the art infrastructure. He believes local officials know what is best for our community, and it will be his job to make sure all of our towns have the tools and flexibility to serve the people efficiently, working with state government to accomplish our most pressing goals.
